Please take note that not all drugs labeled as MDMA (ecstasy) really contain any methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA); instead, they may be a combination of MDMA with other chemicals including amphetamine, paramethoxyamphetamine (PMA), ketamine, NBOMe, synthetic cathinones, etc.
What is MDMA?
As an empathogen, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) heightens a person’s sensitivity to the feelings of others around them.
Ecstasy, or MDMA, is a club drug with a wide reputation. However, not all ecstasy tablets contain MDMA, and some may contain very little. It’s common to substitute other medications or “fillers” for the original substance. This makes it difficult to predict how one’s body will respond to MDMA or whether or not one will suffer any unwanted side effects.

How is MDMA used?
MDMA may be taken orally as a pill, capsule, powder, or crystal. The pills vary in size and hue, and many have distinctive brands or illustrations.
Even if two pills have the same label or symbol, they may have very different effects because they were made in different ways and have different active ingredients.
